Dark reddish brown leather Mary Jane style heels with double buckled straps and a three inch heel. Some minimal creasing in the leather at the front of the shoe by the toes as a result of usage and age. Can be dressed up or down and will go with almost everything. A very resilient and practical shoe. Marked size 8 AA but please note measurements as sizing changes by decade. Ralph Lauren originally began his business selling men's ties in 1967. In 1968 he launched his first menswear line calling it "Polo". He hand delivered items and worked exclusively out of one room. His work paid off and he was the first designer to be offered the privilege their own boutique within Bloomingdale's. In 1971 he began offering women's clothing in the form of collared shirts. This was the first time the Polo logo was seen-originally on the cuff of the shirt as opposed to the breast as it is seen today. An entire women's collection was launched in 1972. In 1974 he dressed the cast of the film The Great Gatsby and in 1977 dressed Woody Allen and Diane Keaton for Annie Hall.
